Lindy Kadish, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma therapy, with a particular focus on women’s mental health across the lifespan. With more than a decade of clinical experience, Lindy holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College and is an EMDR Certified Therapist and EMDR Consultant-in-Training. She works with adults navigating the lasting impact of trauma and difficult life experiences, anxiety, attachment and relationship patterns, self-worth, identity, and major life transitions. Her work with women spans young adulthood and beyond, including concerns related to relationships, identity, body image and self-esteem, pregnancy and postpartum, motherhood, and the many transitions that can shape a woman’s sense of self and emotional well-being.

Lindy approaches mental health through a biopsychosocial and nervous-system-informed lens, recognizing that emotional well-being is shaped by the interaction of our biology, experiences, relationships, environment, and the ways our nervous system has learned to respond to the world around us. Her approach integrates EMDR with Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy, Polyvagal Theory, somatic approaches, mindfulness, and DBT-informed skills to provide individualized treatment that addresses both the emotional and physiological aspects of healing.

At the heart of Lindy’s work is helping clients feel less defined by what they have experienced and more connected to who they are and how they want to live. Therapy can create space to respond to life with greater choice rather than being pulled into familiar patterns of fear, self-doubt, avoidance, or disconnection. Lindy’s goal is for clients to leave therapy with a stronger sense of self, greater trust in their own emotions and experiences, and the confidence and flexibility to navigate what comes next.
