Barry Chapman, LCSW-R
Barry Chapman, LCSW-R, has over 13 years of counseling experience. He is an approved OASAS Impaired Driver Screening Provider. His work has focused on adolescents and adults with chemical dependency and mental health disorders. He uses a very direct approach which borrows techniques from both the Motivational Interviewing Treatment model and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. His belief is that in order to achieve one’s full potential, a person must first be aware their various selves: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual and how they impact each other positively and negatively. When not working, Barry is active in meditation and yoga.
Barry received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Canisius and his Master’s in Social Work from UB.
